Hot Colors for Fall 2010

 I read several articles last week on fall makeup colors for 2010.  It was an interesting read as the makeup trends this year are quite different than years past. 

For your eyes

Copper or bronze eye shadows are the rage with a teal or turquoise eyeliner for drama.  Also hot are lavender, a purpley brown, oyster gray, rose, and dark olive green. After shadow is applied, metallic accents in the corner of the eye complete the look.

Precise eyeliners in blacks, browns and grays continue to be a good choice.  For the holidays, a nice kohl eyeliner in shimmery hues will put sparkle in your eyes.

Traditional mascara colors are still popular and thick brows are back in, although not overdone.  A full brow gives a younger appearance.

For your face

The natural look is being emphasized this fall so skin has to be in top condition.  Your  foundation/powder should give you somewhere between a matte and a dewy look.

For your cheeks

Peaches and pinks are the trend this fall with two/color bronzers used for the cheekbone and the actual cheek.  Your cheeks should look natural so be sure your blush/bronzer is not too light in color nor too bold.

For your lips

If your eyes are dramatic, use a nude or naked color for your lips.  If your eye color is subtle, use a vibrant red or orange lipstick.  The fall colors for 2010 are red, hot pink, orange and plum.

For your nails

 Peaches, vibrant blues, metallics, & dark teals are the nail colors for your fall season.
